I was Art Director at Defiant Studios from January 2017 till September 2019. In that time I worked on a variety of projects, the largest being Lords of the Fallen 2. Being that we started as a small startup, before signing the contract to work on LotF2 we worked on a lot of smaller titles, from internal prototypes, to work for hire contracts with companies like Rockstar (L.A. Noire the VR Case Files), and Digital Extremes (Warframe).

MEGALODON VR

Megalodon VR was my first full time project at Defiant Studios as Art Director. It was a fairly simple VR Experience with the conceit of traveling back in time to fish for prehistoric dinosaurs. I came up with the concepts and created the fishing rod, fishing platform, UI, and Logo. I Art Directed and managed the outsourcing of the fish, as well as the in house creation of the environment.

REMNANT SUN

Remnant Sun was an internal prototype we worked on at Defiant Studios. It was a first person shooter that revolved around co-op gameplay and unique traversal systems.

At the time we were pitching for Lords of the Fallen 2 we were also pitching an idea for an isometric shooter that relied heavily on customization of your team. I conceived of an aesthetic that was “hyper real” coupling the the look of tilt shifted diorama style environments, and high end designer toys. All set in a Robocop-esqe 80s inspired dystopia.
